Terms of Service

Welcome to Tattoo Preview ("Tattoo Preview", "we", "us" or "our"), a service operated by HESONGTING, an individual / sole trader operating under the laws of China. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered tattoo preview tools, available at https://tattoospreview.com (the "Service").

By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

Important: If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2.1 What we provide. Tattoo Preview lets you place a tattoo design on a photo of your own skin and adjust its size, placement, rotation and opacity (the "Editor"), and optionally turn that composite into a photorealistic preview using AI (an "AI Render"). The Service is a digital software-as-a-service product delivered over the internet.

2.2 Nature of the Service. The Service is a digital, intangible product. Credits are added to your account immediately after payment is confirmed, and AI Renders are delivered in your account, usually within a few minutes. Because of this instant delivery, refunds are subject to the limits in Section 7.

2.3 AI model dependency. AI Renders are generated by Google's Nano Banana image model (Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, model ID gemini-2.5-flash-image), which we access through two third-party API providers, fal.ai (endpoint fal-ai/nano-banana/edit) and APIMart. We do not use Flux, Stable Diffusion or any self-trained model. The performance and availability of AI Renders may be affected by these providers. We will notify users of significant outages and update this section if the model changes.

3.1 Account creation. The Editor can be used without an account. Buying credits and creating AI Renders require an account registered with an email address and password and accurate, complete information. Registered users can also sign in with a one-time code sent to their account email. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Account security.

• Notify us immediately at support@tattoospreview.com of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Do not share your login credentials with any third party.
• Keep the email address on your account valid so we can reach you about billing.

3.3 Business accounts. If you register on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

The Editor is free. AI Renders are paid for with credits; each AI Render currently costs 10 credits. Credits are sold in one-time credit packs. Current packs and prices are listed at https://tattoospreview.com/pricing.

Tattoo Preview has no subscriptions. Buying a credit pack never starts a recurring charge.

If an AI Render fails or cannot be delivered, the credits charged for it are automatically returned to your balance.

5.1 One-time purchase authorization. Each credit purchase is a one-time transaction. By completing a purchase, you authorize HESONGTING to charge your payment method the amount shown at checkout. We do not offer automatic top-ups, and you will never be charged unless you start a purchase yourself.

5.2 Payment processing. Payments are processed by Waffo Pancake or, where offered at checkout, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

5.3 Taxes. Unless otherwise stated, listed prices exclude applicable taxes. Where required by law, taxes are calculated and collected at checkout.

6.1 Credit validity. Purchased credits do not expire while your account remains active.

6.2 Account termination. If your account is terminated, whether by you or by us, unused credits will be retained for 30 days after termination. After that period, unused credits expire and are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or as described in Section 13.

7.1 What can be refunded. The free Editor costs nothing and involves no refunds. For paid credits and AI Renders:

7.2 Statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or Australia, you keep your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for first purchases. By starting an AI Render you ask us to perform the digital service immediately and acknowledge that this right ends for the credits you use. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

7.3 Credits have no cash value. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another account or resold, except through a refund described in this section.

7.4 How to request a refund.

• Step 1 – Email support@tattoospreview.com from your account email with the subject "Refund request". Include the transaction ID (shown in your billing page or payment receipt), the purchase date and, for a defective AI Render, the render ID or a screenshot.
• Step 2 – We acknowledge your request within 2 business days.
• Step 3 – We review it against this policy and tell you the decision within 5 business days of acknowledgement.
• Step 4 – Approved money refunds are issued through the original payment processor (Waffo Pancake or Stripe) to the original payment method. Banks usually post them within 5–10 business days. Credit refunds appear in your balance immediately.
• Step 5 – Credits from a refunded pack are removed from your balance. If you have already used them, we only refund the unused portion.

7.5 Chargebacks. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank (see Section 8). If a chargeback is filed, we may suspend AI Renders on the account until it is resolved.

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please email support@tattoospreview.com before opening a dispute with your bank. We will respond within 2 business days and resolve confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9.1 Ownership of outputs. Subject to these Terms, the AI Renders and other content generated from your inputs ("Outputs") belong to you. You may use Outputs for any lawful purpose permitted under Section 10.

9.2 License to inputs. You must own or have permission to use the photos and tattoo designs you submit ("Inputs"). By submitting Inputs, you grant HESONGTING a limited, non-exclusive license to use them solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your Inputs to train AI models without your explicit consent.

9.3 Third-party AI models. Outputs are generated by third-party models (see Section 2.3) and may be influenced by them. We do not guarantee any particular output quality and are not responsible for content generated by third-party models.

9.4 Accuracy. Previews and AI Renders are visual approximations. A real tattoo will look different depending on the artist, your skin, healing and aging. Always confirm size, placement and design with a licensed tattoo artist before getting tattooed.

10.1 Permitted use. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes in accordance with these Terms, such as previewing tattoo designs on yourself or, with their consent, on others. These standards apply to everything you upload (photos and designs), everything generated for you (AI Renders) and anything you share from the Service.

10.2 Prohibited content categories. You must not upload, generate or share content in any of the following six categories, even as a joke, test or "art":

10.3 Other prohibited use. You also agree not to: generate illegal, defamatory, harassing or fraudulent content; create malware, phishing content or cyberattack tools; circumvent or interfere with the Service's security or safety features (including attempts to get around the model's safety filters); resell or sublicense access to the Service without prior written approval; or violate any applicable law, regulation or card network rule.

10.4 Platform content moderation. We combine technical and human safeguards:

• Fixed instructions: you cannot type free-text prompts. Every AI Render uses the same fixed instruction to turn your existing mockup into a realistic healed tattoo, which limits what the model can be asked to create.
• Model safety filters: every AI Render request is screened by the built-in safety systems of the underlying model (Google Nano Banana / Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) and our API providers. Requests or outputs that trip these filters are blocked; the render is marked as failed and its credits are returned.
• Usage limits: each account can only run a limited number of AI Renders at the same time, which slows down bulk abuse.
• Records for investigation: for each AI Render we keep the account, time, model and provider used, so reported content can be traced to the responsible account.
• Human review: every user report and every rights-holder notice is reviewed by a person; we do not decide reports by automation alone.

No moderation system is perfect. If prohibited content gets through, please report it as described in 10.6.

10.5 Enforcement. Depending on the severity and whether it is repeated, we may take one or more of these actions:

If you believe we acted in error, reply to our notice or email support@tattoospreview.com within 14 days with the subject "Appeal". A person who did not make the original decision will review your appeal and answer within 7 business days.

10.6 How to report content. Anyone, with or without an account, can report content or behaviour that violates these standards:

• Email support@tattoospreview.com with the subject "Content report" (or "Copyright notice" for intellectual property claims).
• Include the link, render ID or a screenshot, the category from 10.2 that you think applies, and how we can contact you.
• Copyright and trademark notices should also identify the protected work, state that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner, and confirm in good faith that the use is not authorized.
• We acknowledge reports within 2 business days. Reports involving child safety, non-consensual imagery or threats are prioritized and we aim to act on them within 24 hours.
• We tell the reporter the outcome where appropriate, and we do not reveal the reporter's identity to the reported user unless required by law (for example, the content of a copyright notice may be shared with the user to allow a counter-notice).

10.7 AI-specific restrictions. Given the AI nature of the Service, you expressly agree not to:

• Use Inputs, Outputs, model responses or any derived data to train, fine-tune, benchmark, distill or otherwise develop any AI or machine learning model that competes directly or indirectly with the Service.
• Systematically scrape, extract or harvest Outputs at scale for any purpose beyond your own authorized use.
• Present AI-generated content as the work of a human professional (such as a licensed tattoo artist or doctor) in a way that could cause harm.

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://tattoospreview.com/privacy. Payment card data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processors (Waffo Pancake, or Stripe where offered) and is never stored on our servers. Account data is deleted within 90 days after your account is closed, except records we must keep by law (such as transaction records).

12.1 Service provided "as is". The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy of AI outputs. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or always available, that every AI Render will succeed, or that outputs will meet your expectations.

12.2 AI-generated content disclaimer. AI Renders may be inaccurate, incomplete or unrealistic. They are not professional, medical or dermatological advice. Do not rely on them as a guarantee of how a real tattoo will look, heal or age; consult a qualified tattoo artist (and a doctor for skin conditions) before making decisions. You are solely responsible for the decision to get a tattoo and for how you use outputs.

12.3 Your content. You are responsible for the photos and designs you upload and for making sure you have the rights and consents needed. We are not responsible for user-submitted content or for how outputs are used once you download or share them.

12.4 Third-party services. The Service relies on third parties, including AI model providers, hosting, payment processors and email services (see Section 2.3 and our Privacy Policy). We are not liable for their acts, omissions, outages or policy changes, although we will work with them to resolve issues that affect you.

12.5 Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HESONGTING is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12.6 Force majeure. We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, riots, government actions or changes in law, power or internet failures, cyberattacks, and outages or service termination by third-party providers (such as AI model, hosting or payment providers). During such an event our obligations are suspended for as long as it lasts. If the Service is unavailable for more than 30 consecutive days because of such an event, you may request a refund of unused credits.

12.7 Exceptions. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or as required by law. If we terminate the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the prepaid unused portion on a pro-rata basis. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@tattoospreview.com.

These Terms are governed by the laws of China. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact support@tattoospreview.com to try to resolve the matter informally.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HESONGTING.
