Matching tattoo
One occasion in depth: designs that mark it, and how to keep a set looking like a set.
Matching tattoos are several designs intended to be worn together as a set, whether by two people, a family or a group. A set works when every piece shares a line weight and a motif family while differing in shape and scale, so the connection is visible without the pieces being identical.

Size guide
Keep a consistent line weight, not a consistent size. Typical set members: 3–8 cm each, scaled to the wearer.
What makes a set of tattoos look like a set?
Two constants and one variable. Constant line weight and a constant motif family make the connection obvious; varying the shape keeps each piece from looking copied. Colour adds a third lever, but pure black is the most reliable because it cannot fade unevenly between two people with different skin tones.
Should every piece in a set be the same size?
No. Same physical size is one option and works well when the placements are comparable, but on a group of different body sizes, proportional scaling usually reads better. If one piece is 12 cm and another is 6 cm on similar placements, the set stays balanced; the same ratio across a wrist and a thigh does not.
